INTENSIVE TRAINING WEEK, 03.05.2025-10.05.2025

EVENT DETAILS

Become a better sailor in a week! If you’re an active and intermediate level sailor with a desire to increase  your knowledge and expand your comfort zone, this event is for you! Are you up for the challenge?
The aim of the first day of training is to get everyone in sync with the yacht and establish what needs to be done to execute clean manoeuvres and sail smoothly. To do so, all 4 crew members will be involved in sailing the yacht simultaneously and will alternate positions assisting one another.

During the next days and depending on wind condition and crew competences, we will train in pairs, rotating between pairs regularly. One person will be helming and trimming the mainsail while the other will be trimming the foresail (jib and/or spinnaker). All manoeuvres will be executed during a windward/leeward course i.e. tacking, hoisting the spinnaker, gybing, unfurling the jib, dousing the spinnaker. Then they will rest while the other pair will take their place. Every time a pair sails the yacht, they will alternate positions from their last session. During the sessions, your skipper will be providing all the necessary input to you securing safety and seaworthiness throughout the training.

Depending on yacht availability, this event will be held with the JPK 39 FC or the Beneteau First 36.
